Laurent Boukobza

A native of France , Boukobza is well - known internationally. Performances in Belgium , Bulgaria , China , Korea , Poland , Romania and Singapore as a dazzling piano soloist and chamber musician have earned him critical acclaim. A prize winner of many competitions, including the “International Piano Competition of Radio France” (Paris), the “International Academy Maurice Ravel” (France), the International Piano Competition of Sofia (Bulgaria), and semi-finalist in the prestigious Queen Elizabeth International Piano Competition of Brussels (Belgium), Laurent Boukobza enjoys his concert tours in conjunction with an active teaching career. The University of Central Florida appointed Laurent Boukobza as Professor of Piano, and Chair of the Piano Studies in 2004. He studied at the Paris Conservatory of Music with such legendary teachers as Catherine Collard, Yvonne Loriod and Michel Beroff.
