Vladimir Dyo, violin
Vladimir Dyo is the winner of numerous international competitions including first prize in the Michelangelo Abbado International Competition in Milan, Italy. Born in Kazakhstan, he began studying at age seven at the State's Special Music School, and at age 14, won first prize in the National Competition of Kazakhstan where he was the youngest participant. Vienna-Budapest, Mozarteum, and has been invited to give master classes and perform in the International Music Festival in Seoul, Korea. He has been studying at SMU Meadows School of the Arts with the Professor Eduard Schmieder.

Aisha Dossumova was born in 1980 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She started studying violin in 1987 at K.Baiseitova special music school. From 1998 - 2002 she continued her studies at Kazakh National Academy of Music. Aisha has participated in many competitions and festivals. Her recent success include 1st prize of International Competition (Italy), 1999; 2nd prize of the Michallangello Abbado International violin competition in Italy, 2000; 1st prize of the International Competition 'Shabyt' in Kazakhstan, 2000; and a diploma of the W.A. She has played solo recitals in Austria, Italy, France, England, USA, Russia and Kazakhstan. Recenlty Aisha Dossumova graduated from Artist Cerificate Program at the Meadows School of the Arts in the violin class of Dr. Eduard Schmieder.

Since his solo debut at age of eight, Bulgarian born violist Rumen Cvetkov has performed throughout Europe, South America and the US. Educated in both Bulgaria and United States, he graduated from "Dobrin Petkov" Music School for gifted children and later continued his studies at Plovdiv Academy for Music and Dance where he was one of the few students of the Late Professor Georgy Naidenoff (pupil of renowned Feodor Druzhinin). Mr. Cvetkov took master classes in viola and chamber music with Mincho Minchev (Bulgaria), Ognian Stanchev (Bulgaria), Yuri Bashmet (Russia), Erich Kruger (Germany), Matthew Dane (USA), Michael Shih (USA), among others.

As a soloist and as a member of many chamber ensembles he has appeared in: "Bulgaria" Concert Hall, "Palacio de Bellas Artes" (Mexico City), Walt Disney Hall(LA), St.Micheli Cathedral (Brussels), Desingel Concert Hall (Antwerp), and performed with artists such as Mikhail Muntian, Mincho Minchev, Stoika Milanova, to name just a few. Mr.Cvetkov's music festival appearances include Mimir, Bruman, Athens, and European Culture Month. In March 2004 he was invited to join "I Palpiti" Chamber Orchestra as their principal on the annual Young Artists Chamber Music Festival, held in Beverly Hills, where he performed solo and chamber music with members of the orchestra.
Mr.Cvetkov gave the premieres of several pieces such as: "Capriccio" for viola solo dedicated to him by the Bulgarian composer Dimiter Shatrowski as well as the World premiere of Kostas Nikitas's Sonata for violin and cello (as violinist). Additionally, Mr. Cvetkov will give the Texas Premiere of Steed Cowart's piece Zephyr, and the American Premiere of Sonata for viola and piano by one of the greatest Bulgarian composers,Ivan Spassov, written in 1960.
Since year 2002 Mr. Cvetkov has moved to USA where he is studying with Misha Galaganov (Israel).

Abraham Feder, violoncello

Abraham Feder is a student of David Soyer and Peter Wiley at The Curtis Institute of Music. Abraham made his solo debut at age eleven at the United Center playing the National Anthem for solo cello at a Chicago Bulls game. At age twelve he made his solo orchestral debut with the Chicago Youth Concert Orchestra. Most recently Abraham soloed with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra.

Orchestra seminar under Jamie Laredo at Carnegie Hall in December of 2003. He also spent five summers as a member of the Disney Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. He was selected to serve as principal cello of the Disney Orchestra in 1998 at the Ravinia Festival and again at Avery Fisher Hall on 1999. He has performed in master classes with The Ahn Trio, Yehuda Hanani, Eleanore Schoenfeld, Wolfgang Laufer, Janos Starker, and Truls Mork.
Abraham has been featured as a soloist on "From the Top," and has been presented in recital with Music In the Loft. In 2003, Abraham joined cellists of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in performance of all six Bach Suites for Unaccompanied Cello with "Music at 399." Abraham appeared with pianist Christopher O'Riley in the 2005 Laguna Beach Chamber Music Festival featuring the country's "Wave of New Talent." Abraham has recorded for Naxos.
As a member of the Praxis Piano Quartet, Abraham appeared on "From the Top." The quartet was also heard live on Chicago's WFMT radio's "Impromptu." The quartet was a prizewinner in the Rembrandt Chamber Music Competition and twice appeared as quarterfinalists in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The quartet was also featured at the Whim Festival in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.
Abraham was among selected artists for the I Palpiti Laureates Festival 2004 and 2005 of Young Artists International in Los Angeles. |
